FAQ
About Vinyl Labels
How Do I Apply Vinyl Labels?
Step 1:
Clean the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Do not use any chemicals because it will leave a residue behind that will prevent the decal from adhering.
Step 2:
Prepare the decal for application by firmly rubbing a flat tool e.g. credit card across the transfer tape (transfer tape is the clear tape placed on the front of decal).
Step 3:
Slowly remove the backing from the vinyl, exposing the adhesive, leaving the transfer paper in place. If the vinyl lettering clings to the backing, slowly replace the paper backing and repeat Step 2. For more stubborn vinyl (thin lettering), you can try lifting the edge of the vinyl with your fingernail.
Step 4:
Slowly lower the decal onto the surface and rub it in place firmly with a flat tool preferably starting in the middle of the decal and rubbing outwards. For best results, wait at least 6 hours before moving to the next step.
Step 5:
Slowly peel the clear transfer tape off at a 45-degree angle. If the decal starts to lift, lay it back down and rub the label firmly with a flat tool and repeat step 5.
Patience is the key when applying vinyl decals
